Fair Elections Action Week is fast approaching with many events going on around the country. Activists are busy planning activities and gathering support for Fair Elections Now Act. These events and activities will build support for this legislation, get the word out about Fair Elections, and amplify the call for elections that are about voters, not big money donors.
During the week, folks in Iowa led by Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement will be rallying and holding a press conference at the state capitol.
Members of Citizen Action of New York will be preparing letters to the editor to appear in their local newspaper and making in district visits to their Senators to show them how important their support is for FENA.
True Courage Action Network in Texas will be sponsoring a series of meet ups for their Clean Elections Texas groups in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston where attendees will write letters to their Senators encouraging them to support FENA.
In other states, volunteers will host house parties to gather petition signatures and show the Clean Elections video to friends, families, and members of the community. These are just a few events going on. To find out more about these events or to volunteer go here.
